A custom website for Devenish Nutrition, designed to streamline how users discover the right nutrition solutions

Founded in 1952, Devenish are global leaders in animal nutrition, using science and technology to develop solutions that maximise animal performance and customer profitability.

Devenish approached us to design and develop a new website that better reflected their position as an industry innovator, while creating a more intuitive experience for users to find the right solutions for them. I was design lead for this project, working with the client through research and design, and assisting with populating content.

What did we need to improve?

Devenish’s existing website struggled to effectively support users in finding the right solutions. The navigation structure showed every product within the sub-navigation, creating an overwhelming experience for users, and provided them with little context about what each solution offered until they clicked through. As a result, users were forced to look through numerous options before finding something relevant to their needs, slowing down their journeys on the site and making the process more effortful.

The homepage also needed improvement in communicating Devenish’s value and industry leadership. With limited visual engagement and weak signposting to important areas of the site, it missed opportunities to build credibility, highlight their impact, and guide users toward relevant solutions.

Faster user journeys, and a much more impactful visual identity

The new site introduces a more intuitive navigation system, allowing users to easily browse species-specific solutions and quickly explore the categories most relevant to their needs. On species landing pages, a filtering widget enables users to refine their search by selecting specific goals, helping them reach the most relevant solutions faster and streamlining their journey through the site.

The homepage highlights Devenish’s impact and innovation. A dynamic hero video adds visual interest and helps them stand out against the crowd, while a species navigation bar provides quick access to key areas of the site and accelerates user journeys.

A concise, scalable design system ensures consistency across the platform’s many pages, creating a cohesive experience while maintaining a dynamic and engaging interface.

The result is a polished, professional website that positions Devenish at the forefront of their industry.
