A first-of-its-kind mobile app for Girlguiding Ulster, designed to keep members connected and up to date like never before.
Girlguiding is the UK’s leading organisation for girls and young women, dedicated to building confidence and raising aspirations. As a former Brownie and Girl Guide, this project was especially meaningful to me.
I led the end-to-end design of a bespoke mobile app for the Girlguiding Ulster division, that would serve to keep members of the organisation more up to date than ever before, easier than ever before.
The app design needed to support a diverse user base spanning multiple ages and abilities, as Girlguiding Ulster's members can span from ages below 10, to 18+. A core focus of the project was delivering a clear, accessible interface that prioritised usability for all members.
With Girlguiding Ulster being an existing partner of ours, with a website, it was important that the app upheld the brand identity and tone of the website, while also holding its own identity.

The result is an intuitive, user-friendly app that feels consistent with the Girlguiding Ulster website, while standing confidently as the first app of its kind across the wider Girlguiding organisation.
The final design features intuitive navigation, with clear call to actions, enabling users to quickly and easily navigate the app Accessibility and UX best practices informed every design decision, supported by the creation of a scalable UI design system aligned with the existing Girlguiding Ulster identity.
